Of course you can put black underglaze on an already
bisqued piece...I have had beautiful results with red
over black...
My advice is to use FIVE coats of red...the first
three right to the bottom of the piece....stagger the
last two coats up a bit!!! Flow the red on...do not
brush it on.....Fire to 06 in a well ventilated
uncrowded kiln....with no greens in it at all...& you
have no problems!!!!! I have never had red burn out...
