Hi Bettie:
I didn't see the article about Raku microwave, but you did the right thing by
deleting it. Microwave is not capable of reaching temperatures any where
near Raku temperatures. The only thing it would do, would be to blow the
project to pieces. Microwave heats internally as well as externally, thereby
creating internal steam pressure that could not escape. Slow heating is
mandatory when working with Raku.

Hi, Bob.

I did read the letter about microwave raku, and it's not as bad as it
sounds. The microwave oven was being used to preheat pieces for placement in
the raku kiln.
