Hello,
Today I am talking without my Orton hat on. When I have time I still make
pots. I have been doing some experiments for Coloramics/Mayco using their
bottled glazes. I have fired them on a red clay body at cone 05 and I have
used them on my stoneware body at cone 5.5. These glazes seem to have quite
a range. None of my experiments have been tested for food safety yet.
Coloramics/Mayco will have a booth at NCECA and have test tiles and fired
pieces in the booth for you to examine. I feel that the results have some
interesting possibilities. I hope to see and talk to many of you next week
in Charlotte. If I do not see you in the Clayart room, please stop at the
Orton booth and introduce yourself.
