Dear David: I watched you get hung out to dry on that CD thing. the funny
thing was a couple days after your getting scrubbed clean and hung out,
there was a Latin american jazz band interviewed on CBC radio. their music
had about as much audience as a wood fire potter with a passion for shino
and ash glazes. the musician laughed and said we got paid well to come and
do the Montreal jazz festival, fed and watered and we sold 700 CD's at $20 a
pop. Imagine how many a band might sell at the New Orleans Jazz Festival and
what if you were a home town hero like Ray Bonneville in Montreal or Aaron
Neville in New Orleans.
Not a bad weekends work if you can get it.
cheers,
tony
