CO2 is a fully oxidized compound so what would it do to a hot raku
glaze in the very few seconds the glaze would be mobile?
Using CO (the mono-oxide) would possibly work, if the gas were
heated so as to avoid chilling the glaze too fast. But where would he
black carbon come from? CO is toxic, not nice to be around.
and finally. Hydrogen gas would be too hazardous by far to even
consider. the stuff explodes too easily.
Stick to the successful carbohydrate combustion/reduction method.
It too needs caution but any big puffs are manageable with care.
til later. Peace. Tom B.
