I'm signing off now until after NCECA -- looking forward to meeting
many of you soon. I'll be the one running around like a madwoman
with boxes of bowls, or sitting at the Triangle Potters Guild/Empty
Bowls table in the convention center watching the world go by.

Latest weather forecast for Charlotte shows high temperatures
ranging from upper 50's on Tuesday, to around 70 on Saturday. It
was 75 there yesterday. Rain possible on Thursday and Friday, so
bring your raincoats. Lows are forecast to be in the upper 30's on
Tuesday night, rising to the upper 40's by the weekend.

The Empty Bowls exhibit at Spirit Square is finally done. Due to
various snafu's and political machinations, we ended up with a very
limited space (half of what we were originally promised).
Nonetheless, I think it looks pretty good and definitely conveys the
message that this event is all about inclusiveness, generosity of
spirit, and feeding the hungry, not about ego. To all those who
sent bowls, whether they are displayed or not, a warm thank you.
All the bowls will be on display at the luncheon, 11-2 on Friday. I'd
suggest trying to get there at the beginning if you possibly can, so
you can get a look at them all. I haven't even seen them all myself
yet, since they've been coming directly to the food bank. I will be
helping to unpack them all and set them out for the sale on Friday
morning between 7 and 9 AM at the church-- if any early risers
want to come join me for a sneak peak, see me at the table in the
convention center for details.

See you soon.
