Hi Karen,
We going to give it a try. Always up for a new experiment. I hate to
let it go to waste. I'm wondering what the smoke will be like coming
out of the stack. I like using oak here in town because it fires so
much cleaner than our pine (and like the results). Don't want to upset
the neighbors in the new apartment building across the street.

Karen,
you asked about oak charcoal.
I use mesquite charcoal...I fire a gas kiln,
with ports in the door, when I reach cone 10 I throw
in 200 pounds of charcoal...
