black white resist for screen printing

Speedball makes a very liquid resist for water based media. It flows
easily through 220 mesh screen. I think you can get it from Dixie Art
Supply. They have a Web site and are based in New Orleans. They can be
found under art supply or air brush. This would flow much easier than
wax. I don't know what would occur when mixed with underglaze, but it
should have no effect.

Also, have you changed mesh. This sounds so simple I feel you have
probably tried a more open mesh. It will just increase the size of your
line.

Your idea sounds interesting. Do you have a Web site with pictures?

Thank you, Lewis, for the tip about Speedball. I use their emulsion and
find it to be so easy to deal with that I am sure that the liquid resist is
worth a try. We'll see about the underglaze part.
You are right, I have tried the more open mesh but really don't want to
replace the 100 or so screens that are our main inventory. With all new
screens
I move away from 230 mesh to 200 or 180.
Thanks for asking about my tiles on the web. They are kitsch and are my
bread and butter while I work on becoming a "real artist". You can see them
at Arizonagift.com. You will have to click through on the part called
outdoor decor (I think it is called). If you have enough patience, you will
see my full catelogue.
Thanks, again, I will let you know if the Speedball works.
