Last week Toni in South Africa was asking about how to make trees for =
firing pendants and beads. =20
I saw this recipe in a Behrens manual but it is listed as only cone 06.
55 Plastic Fireclay
40 Grog
5 Feldspar
dry mix should be soaked in about 50ccs of water to each 100 grams of =
mix.
Abrasive but can be thrown or handworked into cylinders (trunks) with a =
stable foot.
Use nichrome wire to make the "arms" to hold the beads, etc.
Maybe you can adjust this to fire higher, to cone 6 like you work.
