harnessing kiln heat for other uses

I live in San Jose, California, where we are facing up to 45%
increases in our utility bills. We're not getting more power --
we're just paying way more for it.

Question: is there any way to harness the energy (heat) generated by
an electric kiln and storing it for later use? I figure Clayart's
collective minds should know something on this.

Thanks in advance!

Be well...
