Thanks to all who offered suggestions on my silicone mold question.
Working with drier clay was the key it seems. My first run I used clay
straight outta the bag, nice and wet for smoothing it in the mold, but it
came out in a sticky layer mess... second time i used clay that had aired out
for a bit, drier... it worked great!
