Well, jeeeez, Mel - I wanted you to have something to DO,
so I've been saving up all the little things that get bent,
broken, chipped, dented, squeaky - and while I was in
Oregon a lot of things DID. Wouldn't want you to have to do
"filler" stuff. I know how you like to stay busy, get bored
when there's not enough going on. Wait'll you see what maintenance
did to the electric kiln handle....hee hee hee.

And don't tell stories - YOU'RE the one who wants to lug
tools all the way from Minnesota. Fourteen power drills
and various and sundry other stuff, like as not. We'll have
to come get you in a pickup truck. A dually, probably.
Don't bring a torque wrench, I've got one. And Wes
promises to bring his (new) welding rig. If he doesn't
have to go to a stock show.

regards

Dannon

i have this strange feeling....dannon said, `bring all your
best tools, we have a great deal to repair.`

is this a workshop, or am i just going to repair everything
in her studio?

but, it does pose a great theme for a `free` workshop.
studio repair, kiln repair, wheel tune up.

this would make a great theme for regional gatherings
of the potters council. this kind of workshop gets folks
involved, they have questions, and the audience usually
answers them. it is a real sharing kind of day.

more groups should have this kind of thing....folks getting
together and working out studio problems. start with a small
list, and watch it grow.

the mini la crosse wood firing meeting will be ideal for the
first gathering of the upper midwest potters council. seems
exciting.

i look forward to being in texas again. nice folks there, good
friends.

potters are usually a visual learning group, and when
things come apart and back together, they catch on fast.
