Does anyone know if Bob Smith is having a workshop this summer? Also, what
type of sprayer does he use to spray ferric chloride (I realize this is
corrosive)? Shurly he doesn't use an atomizer, but how would you get an
even spray with a generic spray bottle.

Are you talking about the Bob Smith from Idledale, Colorado? If he gives a
workshop where and when. If it's the Bob Smith from Colorado, he's the Raku
God, a wonderful, unforgettable teacher.
