I feel that we should leave homeschoolers alone. It is clear they prefer
that their children be socially and intellectually stunted, unprepared for
the modern world. Where else are we going to get the insular, uninformed,
narrow-minded people to fill our school boards and Republican Congressional
seats in the future?

Joseph,
Narrow-minded? Are you saying ALL parents who home school are
narrow-minded? Am I the only one who sees this as contradictory? Probably
not.
My son is an "unschooler" I have 10 kids coming to my house in a few days
to create a BOOK about herbs. Why? Because they are interested and I am
providing the space and materials for them. We will no doubt get into the
studio and make pots to take the plants home in. Learning at home is fun
and effective. Really!
Maggie
Deep in the South and open minded anyway.

I find this to be an unbelievable and insulting post. I have refrained from
replying to the homeschool posts because it is totally off topic. There are as many
ways to homeschool as there are to work with clay. Clayart is not the venue to
debate homeschooling!!
Janet, in beautiful British Columbia where the daffodils are blooming, who is off
to homeschool her well adjusted, happy and intelligent son!
