nceca mug exchange and slate

The reason some folks thought the slate was kind of odd was that when WE saw
it, there was no mug attached, just this little piece of slate on the table
among all the pottery. I never saw the mug on the slate until it was in
somebody's hand after the exchange. I do agree that once they were
together, they worked well together and looked great; the handle looked
somewhat "slate-esque".

I know that Barbara Brown from
California made the white mug with
the black handle and used a small
piece of black slate for the saucer.
She showed it to me after I showed
her my mug. I thought it was
pretty. The slate complimented
the mug, or so is my opinion.

Hummm I never saw the mug.. I just rememebred a post
about what kind of mug to bring ... Something like
short tall handle no handle bowl toy sculpture.. I
thought someone either took it seriously or made a
good joke of it ....
