There were recent discussions on the possibility of firing in a =
microwave. Apparently there is a product designed for firing small =
(very small) objects in the microwave up to 2000 F. Currently on sale =
on e-bay:

(Usual disclaimers: it isn't mine. I know nothing about it, I have no =
investment in it.)

Paragon has just introduced a kiln that fires inside a
microwave oven. You can see it on our home page:
http://www.paragonweb.com/
I have fired glass in it many times, but it is so fast that
I don't know if it would be suitable for clay. It can reach
1650F in about six minutes!
Sincerely,
