A problem solved! A few days ago I wrote the list asking for suggestions on
how to cure a mousse-like glaze that had too much veegum T. Thanks to
clayarters who kindly advised.
A grateful high five to Jonathan Kaplan who suggested testing a sample with
incremental amounts of Darvan 811. Eureka! A complete cure resulted from
adding just a half teaspoon of Darvan to one quart of the glaze mousse,
dramatically changing its thixotropy and settling the slop down to a normal
consistency.. quite something to see.
