I really enjoyed your post about your not so perfect day,
especially the image of
your silent and incriminating kiln!
I can just feel it's glare!
Some of those kilns are especially good at laying THEIR guilt trips on
you!
Gotta watch em!

P.S. I also really appreciated your description of shino's
and how they work . Neither of the shino's I used years ago had any
soda ash either, or added iron, if memory serves.
I knew how to get yummy results.
But now I know I really did not understand what was happening .
I just applied glaze a certain way and fired a certain way
following advice from someone who knew .
So much to learn. No wonder it is a lifelong pursuit!
