There's a workable set of plans in the book, "Building Pottery Equipment"=
, author's last name... uh... Hanley? Others on the list, please confirm=

After a few months of searching for a used electric wheel with no luck, =
I am seriously thinking about building one. I have searched the 'net for =
plans with minimal success. One interesting reference was to an April =
1988 article by Jolyon Hofsted entitled "Build a $75 electric wheel" in =
Ceramics Monthly. (With inflation, I guess that may be more like build a =
$150 electric wheel!)=20
I was disappointed to find that there are no available copies of this =
back issue. I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with any =
information they may have on this subject. Any help would be greatly =
appreciated!
Thanks so much,

Where it is a typical spring day, promise of those April showers and the =
May flowers they may bring. My crocuses are saying hello, and my =
hyacinths are beginning to peek out too!

Thanks SO much to everyone for all of their assistance. Surely with the
plethora of information you have offered to share, I will be able to buil=
d
the best junk yard wheel imaginable! (Maybe I could find a Cadillac to ta=
ke
the parts from!) I truly appreciate all of the help everyone has offered,
this will be invaluable in my journey with clay! My father-in-law has a
wrecking yard, so I may be doing the junk yard dawg thing later this
afternoon!
