you can spray the itc 100 right over the older coils.
do not take them out, they are too brittle. just spray
over, and when you replace them at a later date...coat
the new ones with itc 213 before install.
i really like a coat of 296A on electrics.

short folks, tall kiln.
i had that problem when teaching. our tech was 55 years old,
a tad over weight....and very short.
the first thing i did was measure her. (with her permission and help)
and then built a 2x6 wooden platform for her to stand on that
fit her just fine.
i would push it out of the way when i loaded.

she was very pleased, and of course the top of the kiln did not
get worn down with her front side. it also made it much nicer
for her to go to the office without the brick dust on her...huh,hums.

one size fits all, but no one in the correct way. adapt.
we lost a bit of the bottom kiln space, as we lifted our bottom shelf
to her reach. we could not do that now. i would provide student
help for her...a dorky boy with long arms.

helpful hint...if you teach and have a tech. she was golden. no student
could ever badger her. no one got pots in the kiln early...or special.
they went in by size and how clean the bottoms were. a dirty bottom
and it went into the trash. they learn fast.
pat was golden. kids loved her, once they got it figured out.
took two minutes...i made sure. she was not a slave. one nasty
remark to pat....and your pots never got in the firing. funny how that
works.

when the big semi pulls up in my drive here or at the farm...i just
back the pickup against the truck..and download the stuff
to the pickup bed.
then move it to where i want, and then onto a dolly.
works nice. two wheel dollies are golden..so are four wheel dollies.
(of course if you drive a 66 nova, well, you are in trouble.)
i thought every potter had a pickup truck around the place.
