Thanks, Linda, for this info. As I get into single firing, I'd really like to
learn more of how potters, especially doing production, use these binders and
suspenders etc. My recent experience with a bucket of glaze mousse - cured
with Darvan - is perplexing, because at the same time I made up a different
glaze with the same amount of Veegum T and it gave me no
problem at all.
Bentonite and Veegum - are they functionally interchangeable? When would you
use one and not the other? Any adhesion issues with overlapping glazes?
Caveats? All raw glazing, single firing enlightenment appreciated!
