Hi, This is a request for help from the "glaze gurus". I have a
recipe from Penland for Toshiko Semi-Matte White. It's a beautiful
glaze, but I only fire to ^6 oxidation. I'd love to be able to use this
glaze if someone can tell me how to lower the firing temp. The
original is for ^9-10:
37.4% Kona F-4
18.7% Kaolin
18.7% Cornwall stone
18.7% whitiing
6.5% Zinc oxide
Add: 2% Bentonite
I don't have a computer glaze program, and don't know glaze
chemistry. Any help will be appreciated.
