Sue Beach asked which kiln, in the $3M price range,
was better: Skutt or L&L.
Sue, consider the Coneart, too. There are other kilns
besides the Skutt and L&L. My 12 sided Coneart does
quite well. I bought it because it had block
insulation in the walls, since I wanted to save
energy.
(Some time back I asked Clayart about the smell of the
new kiln.)
Did anyone on Clayart see the Paragon kilns at NCECA?
They caught my eye, because I had previously thought
that the Coneart was the only 12 sided kiln with the
insulation in the walls. Now I find out Paragon kilns
have it too.
If I had it to do over again, I would consider buying
the Paragon as well as the Coneart since they both
have the extra insulation. I wouldn't consider any
other brands.
Surely I'm not the only one worried about electricity.
