Hi Elca

If you are looking for a really good read on ancient Greek pottery - ther=
e are two excellent books by Brian Sparkes, "An Introduction to Greek Pot=
tery" and "The Red and the Black". The first has a lot of info on the ac=
tual making, decorating etc, including a good description of the kilns, a=
nd the firing process to get the colour difference. If you would like th=
e ISBN etc let me know and I'll dig out the info - the books are at home =
somewhere.
