Hello,
When I visited a friend's house in Japan she showed me a grove of HUGE
Bamboo just across a very narrow street. It must have been four inches
in diameter. It was very beautiful.
She said that in big earthquakes they ran out into the field and held on
to the Bamboo because the roots would stabilize the ground. Made sense,
but I would not want to be hit by whipping Bamboo.
Any way that is what she told me. Thought the Bamboo posters would like
it.
