If anyone is thinking of buying a scale for dividing clay into equal
portions for throwing, try your local office supply store. Today at Stapl=
es I
bought a Pelouze Model Y-50 spring scale for just under $45, which appear=
ed to
be their regular price. That is about $25 less than the same model is lis=
ted at
in the online catalog of a well-known pottery supplier (plus, I think the=
y mixed
up the pictures). I had to pay state sales tax, but that amounted to much=
less
than shipping charges would have been. Thought you'd like to know!
