apprenticeships?

updated thu 31 may 01

I'm a novice potter in the NYC area who's considering
a radical career switch (away from the drudgery of
office work). Are there such things as paid
apprenticeships in the world of ceramics? And if so,
how should I go about locating one?

I only have a few ceramics classes under my belt, and
have mainly been drawn toward hand-building. Right
now, I'm particularly interested in learning more
about ceramic tiles and architectural pieces. Any
advice, positive or negative, would be extremely
helpful. Thanks! -Mark

posting or i would send it to you. but, you may be able to look in the
archives and find the message, i am preety sure it was posted about a week
ago but i would search the past two weeks to be sure. or ask on the list if
someone wrote down the info from the posting.
