Hi Ken!
Sorry to hear about the crazing problem with your glaze.
I don't know that it is fair to "blame" the glaze. You could as well
blame your clay body. After all, the glaze probably fits perfectly well and
doesn't craze, on some clay body that has more shrinkage than your clay
body does. You just have the wrong combination.
You have three choices. You can do trials with different glaze/clay
body combinations until you find a combination where the glaze fits, or you
can adjust the shrinkage of your glaze, or you can live with the crazing.
Adjusting a commercial glaze to reduce crazing will require some
trial-and-error work because you don't have a recipe to base the adjustments
on. Adding small increments of silica to the glaze and firing test tiles
may be a place to start.
Good glazing!

i have been firing to the specific temps ^06, and every time, the glaze

i am cooling slow, and i have used many similar glazes...so i think this
particular glaze stinks.
has anyone used this glaze? had this problem? can suggest a remedy?
thanks in advance

Glaze-to-clay fit can be a problem with any glaze-clay combination. The
fact that it is a commercially made glaze is immaterial.
As I see it, you have several choices, adjust the glaze, adjust the
clay, or find either a different clay or glaze.
I double that Ceramichrome guarantees this glaze to not craze on any and
all clay bodies. That hardly means in and of itself that the glaze
"stinks".

Ken, the glaze does not fit your particular claybody. It
may or may not be a decent glaze, but if it doesn't fit
your clay, it will crackle/craze no matter how slow you
cool. You could check with the seller about what clay it
does fit, but they may not know. Or you could add some
opacifier and use it for a white crackle raku glaze. Or
leave it clear and have a clear raku glaze. Or take
advantage of the crackle by placing it on the outside of
pieces and staining AFTER the firing with India ink,
having a deliberate crackle. Use something that fits
on the inside.

Test it on different clay bodies.
