Dear All,
The instructions for Paragon's new digital controller are
completed. We will print them this week.
Many of you were a big help in producing these instructions. You
offered me your feedback on controllers, sharing points that caused
confusion. Examples:
What is a segment?
How do you skip from a ramp to a hold?
How do you begin a firing in Pre-Heat when the kiln is already
above the Pre-Heat temperature?
What do you do with the original witness cones if the kiln has shut
off too soon and the load must be re-fired?
I've answered these questions in the instructions.
You also told me what you wanted in a controller, and we've tried
to accommodate your requests with our new controller.
In the cone temperature chart that comes with the instructions, we
have included the pre-fired cone colors. That might be a help in
determining the correct cone. Example: an 05 is dark red. A 5 is
green. Once you are aware of pre-fired colors, you will probably
never mix up an 05 and a 5.
