Like Brad I've been using the ubiquitous Kiln Sitter for many years,
both at home and at work; we offer a firing service for our kilnless
customers and use a combination of a controller and a Sitter on 2 out of
3 kilns. It's an excellent set-up combining the best of both worlds,
with the cone (in the Sitter) having the 'last word'!
Incidentally the Sitter never gives trouble if treated correctly AND,
like any other machine, regularly serviced
