question about small test kilns

I would like to use a small 120v 11 x 9 ConeArt test kiln, with an Orton
vent, in my apartment. I have a rather large second room, that I can
completely shut off from the rest of the apartment, that I use as my
studio. My building is small, and all of the neighbors work in the arts
and agree to the use of a kiln, and I have already made sure that I have
proper wiring and the correct outlet, amps, etc. for the kiln. I'm mostly
concerned about fumes. I ask that anyone who may use a test kiln or a
small kiln in an apartment or condo, or in their house, to let me know
whether or not you have had any bad experiences with fumes and ventilation
or the Orton vents (or other bad experiences I may not be thinking about).
I don't want to vent out the window and have it affect anyone in the
building about 20 feet away.
Thanks a lot.

I don't think you would have a problem venting out the window. In fact you
could get away with just opening the window when you fire. The kiln is very
small and shouldn't present a problem.
