Clay Art Friends, One and All,
Please advise us here in South Asia, as to the proper use of silicone in
making case molds. What about curing time? and heating for curing? 24
hours? Over the last couple of years Clayart has had postings about
silicone and 'master molds' that silicone is just as good for the
purpose as some of the commercial, two part rubbers.
We're getting ready here for a demo with the Bangladesh Institute of
Glass and Ceramics, to show them just how cost effective rubber faced
case molds can be, but would appreciate for a few pointers as to the use
of silicone. Silicone is not what is used in the industry in the U.S.
Mel, keep up this beautiful network, something that is increasingly
connecting clay artists all over the world!
