Dear Ababy,
I have to agree with Mia on the Strontium for Barium sub. I have tried =
almost all of my Barium glazes subbed with Strontium, and although a =
"healthier" glaze, most of them lost the nuances of the beautiful barium =
colors. But we do not use lead anymore and I have learned to live =
without fireengine red... (although I am sure it availbable =
commercially w/o lead). But for some of the decorative pots, I use the =
barium glazes, because they are beautiful. Forbidden fruits can be that =
way.
Best regards,

Hello Alisa
Visit me at http://members4.clubphoto.com/ababi306910/STONNWARE__6_1220C/
All the Bherens glazes are with Strontium Carbonate except the small one
with the drips of some different glazes.
You must do it this way (if you want)
Make glaze a, b, c and d, on the same claybody. Each of them one with the
100% of the strontium
Or with 133% equivalent Barium, the way I did.
After that you might say: Wow Ababi is a smart guy!
Or you say, Wow, I thought he was a smart guy!

I do not have the tools, to know, or the money to test for leaching, so I do
my best to use inside a ball only foodsafe glazes.
