the Works in shino show is up and officially opens thursday night from 7-10
at the Carnegie gallery in Dundas, Ontario. I must say the work is very
impressive. Many of the potters raised the mark, exactly what you would
expect from them. Real pots, made by real people. I am supposed to remain
unbiased so I will look forward to hearing anyones comments on the list- no
holds barred.
It has been alot of work putting on this show, so I feel almost too glad
that it is almost over to comment on it's over all look. I think it is
strong but I say that feeling rather weak from the merry go round that is
our life. 60 ladies from the crafts council hit here tomorrow to SHOP, sneak
a supper in with Vic and Mr. Mudd, open show, potters conference this
weekend, tear down conference, and shino show and then off to Medalta in
Medicine Hat.
EP ain't able to join us in the Hat. got a real nice phone call from her and
I said it is more important to get the septic in and be able to pooh than to
make pots on the prairie. Hoping my ole buddy Les Crimp makes it over the
Rockies. He's my hero. building and firing a wood kiln at 70. fight, big
fighter, fight!
A cold beer is calling my name.
Cheers,
tony
