Does this look familiar?-
I downloaded my set of plans yesterday. Of all the people from all =
over the world to receive these plans, it looks like I'm the only one =
who can't figure out the purpose of that little dowel (labeled O) and =
the corresponding slot (G, F). I'd be grateful if someone could =
enlighten me.
I am so sorry to repeat this question on the list, but I can't figure =
out what that little dowel is for and so far, nobody has been willing to =
let me in on the secret. It seems to me that the dowel would make it =
more difficult to get the tile out of the frame.=20
You can look at the plans at
http://www.mudmaven.com/tilepress/tilepress.htm
I have e-mailed Jim directly, but I received no response and I wonder if =
he thought my mail was just another request for the plans. So now I am =
resorting to begging:
PLEASE , oh please help me!!
Thanks so much.

I was a bit baffled, too. Turns out that the
dowel is there to keep the tile board from
falling out of the frame prematurely, when it
is inverted.

Hi Carole, I just saw your post. The reason behind the cut-out and the
dowel; there's actually 4 of these, one for each side, is so that when you
turn the whole thing over the tile floor stays inside the mold. What do you
think of the concept? Out of over 50 sent out, only one person has given me
any feedback. ciao, Jim

Jeepers! Now I'm really confused. I thought the whole idea of this tile =
maker was to pop the formed tile (on part one) out as you push part 2 =
down onto part three. Why would you need to flip it over?
