Hello all,

I built my arch in a surbased way to have more than a 3 foot clearance
under the wooden ceiling.
I used an alternating pattern of straits and wedges #2.
When I had finished the job the bricklayer who helped me with
the bottom and the chimney told me it was the right way to build
arches in stainless steel furnaces operating close to 3200 F.
I covered the arch with an overlapping asbestos blanket to make
the arch more secure and added a 1 inch kaowool blanket for better
insulation.
