Hi Joyce,
I have used these glazes both ways. (That is usually the way I will test a
glaze.) I like them much better in reduction. The choice of clay body is
as important to the results with these glazes as the firing atmosphere.

We fire it both ways, I would bet that since the glaze I sent in is a Shaner
/Ferguson that it was designed as a reduction glaze.
