Alisa,

Your pots should be fine. It is common in Japan to bisque to 800 C. If
your pots got to cone 012 they will work well. You will need to be a
little careful about how you handle them when glazing and with how much
glaze is applied. Usually if you bisque lower you will have more glaze
absorption.


A Japanese potter friend thinks that our stoneware bisqued to cone 08 is
more like "high fire" ware. He is exaggerating for effect, but it is
quite hard compared with his normal bisque.
