Some viruses not only propagate like rabbits, but are designed to resist
removal. I have heard that some of them block connection to anti virus
sites and I think I've heard that some can scan for any kind of Help
coming in.

Phil says that he is getting av alerts on my
emails. A trojan identifier/cleaner and an
antivirus program both say that my system is
clean, and I have searched for identifying problem
files, as well.
I don't know what Phil has.
I'll reactivate Norton later and run a scan with
it, for a third opinion!

When I get new e mails I check first if there are any attachments. Usually
Norton finds the virus first.
Second I do not open any attachment even if they look O.K. when I am not
expecting one.
