There's a wonderful book titled "Warren MacKenzie An American Potter" =
written extremely well and intimately by David Lewis, with
great photographs by Peter Lee. It was my first ""potter" book ... =
tried to decide between it and a textbook, thinking that I'd probably =
never buy another
pottery book. Ha! That was five years and a=20
hundred plus books/videos ago. I don't usually
express myself with the word "lovely," but aside from being informative =
and historical with lots of how-to's and sage advice ... advice which I =
often recall, as it's needed at odd moments ... it IS a lovely book.

In the Mojave where in a desire to gain a little culture we purchased =
food from Taco Bell's
drive through today ... not bad; my tacos are
better .... but still not bad. It's not that we haven't been to fast =
food spots... even prefer the egg rolls at Jack In The Box to much more =
costly ones ... and when the boys were young we hit every
A&W Root Beer stand up and down both coasts, as well as in Alaska. Now =
we mostly eat at home... all alone ... old ... sick... pitiful ... =
sad....

Here is a photo of a selection of MacKenzie's pots. I'm sorry, the quality is
not that good. If I can find the original, I try to scan it again:
