Yesterday I was approached by two artists, a print maker and a painter, and
asked if I would be interested in running an introduction to clay as a
weekend workshop for artists. These are folks who work fulltime, and teach
and do their art in the evenings, and have no time for classes. They are
both looking for 1) a general understanding of the ceramics field and 2)a
hands on experience to allow them to explore the use of clay as artists.
Sounds fun to me, and I wonder if anyone out there has done anything
similar? I'm thinking it would be a two weekend format, and that we would
raku the second weekend.
Any ideas?

Hi, Jonathan,
I am doing a two weekend workshop in the Rockies beginning Sat. and Sun.
We are going to experiemt with raku, sawdust and horse hair.
I plan to fire the following weekend starting with the sawdust on Sat.
and glaze for Raku on Sat. and fire on Sun. I think you should do it.
Best wishes,
Marcia in Montana
