am looking for plans to build a gas kiln? I have a lady who is willing
to sell me bricks for .05 each to .10 each. This is the otherside brick
plus the fire brick. So I need plans to know how many bricks I need and
how to build one. Can anyone help me?
Thank You.

You should plan to build a kiln around kiln shelf sizes that are
comfortable for you to lift and around a capacity you can fill at a rate
you want. Lay out a floor plan around the shelves and plan for your
burners' combustion space, and the flu. Then you can start counting.
Firebricks are 9" l. x 4.5" w. x 2.25" ht. It is easiest if you use
figires divisible by 9 or 4.5.
Ex. 24 x 12 shelves in a kiln 36" x 36" (9x4)
Try to build around a cube shape like a Minnesota Flat Top. It heats
evenly. Best to check out kiln building books for detailed instruction.
