It would indeed be handy to have a recommendation of some measurable
thickness for ITC application.
When I tried ITC on my new kiln shelves, I applied it with a sand
blaster, per Alice's suggestion. I believe I looked at the recommended
coverage rate, so many square feet per quart, and applied it that way, as
evenly as my uneven eye and hand could manage.
