A workshop on Kiln Use & Maintenance will be presented by Ernest
Aryee of Shimpo/ConeArt at Studio Sales Pottery in Avon NY on July 13,
from 9 am until 4 pm. This will be a classroom presentation on proper
firing techniques for electric kilns. Discussion will include firing
with digital controllers, kilnsitters and pyrometric cones. There will
also be instruction on simple maintenance and troubleshooting. The
cost is $65.00 and includes a light lunch and t-shirt from Studio
Sales Pottery.
On Saturday July 14, Ernest Aryee will demonstrate throwing large
vessels. Working in sections, big storage vessels will be thrown from
9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The cost is $65.00.
