The book I have recently authored entitled "The Art of Contemporary
American Pottery" will be released on or about August 1/01 by Krause
Publications. There is a chapter in it called 'Land's End' which provides
information concerning the contribution of Warren Mackenzie towards the
development of utilitiarian pottery in America. Perhaps some will find
it useful in their understanding of his pottery in particular and the
nature of the unique art form of pottery in general. There are a number of
images of Mackenzie's work as well as previously unpublished images of
pottery by Leach and Hamada. In addition there are many illustrations
of the work of numerous (160) other American potters....
