saga of ikebana bowls

I've thrown thirty pots this morning...... but only two were the ikebana =
bowls where my present=20
struggle is occurring. They ARE getting better, as many of you have =
predicted will happen IF I just
stay with it. Unfortunately, that's my strength and
my weakness: I invariably stay with it. Don't
expect I'll give these up ... beyond the desire to
create an elegant finished product ... now it's important solely to =
create a finished product that I like ... somehow I don't think that's a =
proper attitude for potting........ BUT my reward is that Tuesday I =
should have the final materials for
decorating and glazing with soluble salts. THAT
should be exciting! And THEN mix Hank's shino... mixed it before but =
only for small test bowls ... and glaze using his black also. Then a =
ton of pots to be glazed and fired with Mel's Shino and Pete's Red. I am =
sooooo glad to be part of this potters' world.

So July is pretty much mapped out...... I'll be
monitoring and happy to have personal posts....
but I'm off for a couple of weeks to see what I can do with all of the =
above if I really focus......
