I was just thinking about the bamboo thread not too long ago and wanted to
add one more thing.
Today I was talking to a friend who's a master gardener. I was asking him
how he keeps his bamboo so neat and tidy. He says that he leaves the bamboo
inside the pot when he plants it in the ground. This keeps it from escaping
and taking over the entire garden. It must work, because his bamboo always
stays in the same place.
