slumping glass in a kiln

I have been lurking around a bit and finally been able to contribute
to a thread. I have been out of the pottery / glass field for about 2=20
years now, and am now starting a new studio.
For the most part the other replies have been correct. A temperature
controller is a must. One cannot do any heat work on glass with=20
cones. Large peep holes would be great, BUT there is a lot more to
know before you venture along the hot glass path. If your friend
wants to know what I have learned from hard experience let her
email me directly. Since this is glass and not ceramics list service,
it would be only interesting to her. All the best from Ralph in Cape
Town, South Africa.=20
PS Hi Mel back after a long break.
only of interest for
