Hi all, There's a local studio here in Charleston, SC called The Gibbs
Studio and Museum. They had to take down their gas kiln and are
selling off the bricks. The straight soft brick is mostly picked over
(I pretty much finished it off yesterday), but there are many many
smaller pieces from the arch, half bricks, etc. The good news is that
they have hard bricks for 25 cents a piece, and there are about 400
left. I'm picking up about 60 more today or tomarrow for a base and
foundation to a kiln. If anybody has access to Charleston, they should
look into this (phone is 843.577.7275, They are on Queen street
downtown).
Alternatively, if someone is coming by this area later, and doesn't
want to miss out, I'd be willing to make an extra trip and load some
for them and store them at my house- then I'd sell them when you get
here for the same 25 cents- with interest... These are heavy, and my
labor is very costly, I'd want a whole mug as payment :-)
Let me know in a hurry. I'm leaving town Friday morning. I can be
reached by email or phone (843.881.0734) today or tomarrow. Get a hold
of me by morning or mid-afternoon tomarrow so I have time to get the
car and get downtown before they close.

(By the way, I got to potters.org. There was a problem with
Bellsouth's DSL)
