Depending on the manufacturer, you can get some general information on
the makeup of the stain.
For example, here in the U. S., Mason Stain Co. provides an index and
color guide to it's stains.
It provides info on stain ingredients, though, (of course!), it doesn't
give you a breakdown as to percentages.
It is interesting to see what other materials are involved in addition
to the coloring oxides. (opacifiers, etc.).
Also it gives special instructions for optimum use of certain stains
(use in glazes with or without zinc, etc.)
Though not complete, it is interesting information and helps
understanding.
The Mason stain chart is sold through ceramic material suppliers and
usually cost around $5.
It is also a good , (though limited by the quality of color print
reproduction ), visual guide to various colors.
I would think other companies would have similar information available
